Jay Thrash is a iOS application developer who got his start on a Commodore VIC-20 and has spent the past twenty years getting paid to convert coffee into code. During his career, he has developed applications on a variety of platforms including PC, web, and console gaming systems. As a grizzled survivor of the dark days of BREW and J2ME, he considers himself to be blessed to have spent the past three years designing and developing iOS applications.
Jay is a senior iOS developer at Allscripts, Inc. where he’s working everyday to improve the portability and accessibility of patient health records. He was the technical editor for “iOS 7 Programming: Pushing the Limits”. He also volunteers as an assistant coordinator, and frequent speaker, for his local CocoaHeads chapter in Raleigh-Durham, NC.
